Essential oils

Vietnam is currently expanding its capacity for the production and export of high quality essential oils. The country has very favorable conditions for cultivating resources. There are more than 300 species being found to be valuable of making essential oil, however just 50 have been planted as resources. The oils such as oud oil, cassia (cinnamon) oil, star aniseed, basil, ginger, turmeric, camphor, citronella, coconut, tamanu, momordica cochinchinensis, pomelo, eucalyptus, cajeput… have been increasingly produced and exported to many countries. Vietnam oud oil (agarwood oil) is known as the best source in the world.
